Braves to keep Snitker, Anthopolous a little longer

          If Brian Snitker was a lame duck, in reality, it wasn’t very loud. And if he was, those thoughts were quieted Monday when the Braves manager and his coaches were given extensions through 2021.

          GM Alex Anthopolous had a good day, extended through the 2024 season and promoted to VP of baseball operations.

          “Awesome,” was among Snitker’s thoughts.

Postseason hoops are here, Part III

          All the pairings – GHSA, GISA, and GAPPs – with Central Georgia teams? Updated, with most of the times and locations?

One media outlet in Central Georgia has the full schedule, and scores of scores, and that’ll be the case the rest of the season.

 

Washington County’s Gray makes qualifying team

          Washington County grad Allisha Gray has earned a spot on a USA Basketball women’s 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Team.

          The teams will compete in the FIBA 3x3 Olympic qualifying tournament in India next month.

          The third year year guard for the Dallas Wings is joined by Napheesa Collier of Minneosta, Stefanie Dolson of Chicago, and Kelsey Plum of Las Vegas.

          Players participated in training camps last week in Chicago.
