Central Georgia teams in final HS hoops rankings
Hancock Central was the only boys team from Central Georgia to make a GHSA final, and was naturally No. 1 in Class A Public in the Sandy’s Spiel final poll of the season.
Wilkinson County was fifth and Dooly County eighth in Class A public.
Central is third in Class AAA and Washington County is fifth in Class AA. Upson-Lee is seventh in 4A, and Warner Robins ninth in 5A.

Things were pretty similar in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s final poll, Hancock Central topping A Public.
Warner Robins is 10th in 5A, Upson-Lee eighth in 4A, Central fourth in 3A, Washington County fourth in AA.
Wilkinson County is sixth and Dooly County ninth in A Public.
The highest-ranked girls team by the AJC was, naturally, Southwest, No. 2 in AA after finishing second.
Jones County is fourth and Veterans seventh in 5A, Washington County sixth in AA, Stratford seventh in A Private, and GMC 10th in A Public.
