Saturday's Daily News 'n Notes: Dodge County FB gets a + test; Henley steady; Bacon win; GC golfer in contention; Kyle Lewis; and more relevance

Saturday’s Central Georgia - and of interest to Central Georgia - news and notes, compiled from staff reports, email reports, the web, and social media.
Dodge County the latest team with a positive test
Another Central Georgia football team will be taking a break after a positive COVID-19 test.
This time, it’s Dodge County, which posted the news on Twitter Saturday afternoon.
“A player has tested positive for COVID-19. We are following all the guidelines set forth by the GHSA and locate heath department. We have (sic) take all precautions to keep our players and coaches safe and will continue to do so. Please continue to pray for our players and coaches.”
The Indians join Mary Persons, Crawford County, and Houston County as Central Georgia football teams having publicly disclosed positive tests.
Henley remain consistent
The odds are against Russell Henley making a run at the Workday Charity Open title on Sunday, but he’s certainly playing quality and consistent golf.
The Maconite sits in a tie for 19th after three rounds, 10 shots off the lead. What’s notable is that Henley shot his third straight 70 for the tournament on Saturday, the only player to make the cut with three identical rounds.
He couldn’t match Friday’s bogey-free round, but survived two on Satuday with four birdies. Through three rounds, he has nine birdies to three bogeys and no double-bogeys. His 42 pars rank first in the tournament.
Nine other players are 6 under with Henley, including Zach Johnson, Charley Hoffman, and Jason Day.
In the two other tournaments Henley has participated in since the return of golf, Henley has shot 2 under and 10 under, and is all but assured a third straight such finish. He opened the season with three straight under-par performances.
Justin Thomas has stormed into a two-shot lead.
