Softball players Mary Wilson Avant (Stratford) and Hannah Coulter (Bleckley County) are among 101 athletes from Georgia named to the SEC’s spring honor roll. Full-time students with a 3.0 or higher make the list.

Macon tops Savannah in shootout
The Bacon survived six errors, thanks to four-RBI nights from Luther Woullard and Cole Gambill atop the lineup to beat Savannah 15-10 at Luther Williams Field.
Woullard and Gambill had three hits each, joined by a three-hit game from Noah Mendlinger. Robert Brooks, Cassius Young, and Austin Deming had two hits each for Macon, Brooks and Deming driving in two runs apiece.
Austin Hohm, the second of seven Macon pitchers, got the win. The Bacon walked 12 and struck out 11, while the Bananas coughed up five homers (Woullard, Gambill, Brooks, Young, and Deming.
The teams play in Savannah on Wednesday.
