Bacon bats awake

          It was 10-4 after three, and Macon survived a five-run seventh for a 13-9 win Thursday over Lexington County at Luther Williams Field in Coastal Plain League action.

          Carson Crowe had a huge night for Macon with four hits, four RBI, and two runs, Austin Deming going 3-for-4 – missing the cycle by a homer - with three runs and two RBI. Cassius Young drove in four runs on two hits, scoring three times, Tyler Williams adding two hits.

          Braden Scott, the second of seven pitchers, got the win, fanning four with no walks and one earned run in two innings.

          Macon is at Savannah on Friday, and they play at Luther Williams on Saturday.
