          Jordyn Partain fanned 13 with three walks in a two-hitter and led the offense with three hits and two RBI, while Henderson Hurdle went 2 for 3 with three runs and two RBI at leadoff for the Cavs.

Perry 13, Howard 5

          The hosts put up six in the first to take control, and scored in the next five innings to end it early, aided by four Howard errors. Reagan Stella and Abby Ussery had four hits for the Panthers, while Nakeira Mallory, Sydnee McElveen, and Sydney Townsend had two hits each for Howard. Perry improved to 8-5 and 3-3 (4-4A) and Howard fell to 2-8 and 1-4. Spalding visits Howard and Perry travels to Baldwin on Tuesday

Piedmont 15, Bethlehem Christian 0

Schley County 12, Bleckley County 4

Shaw 7, Crawford County 5

          In a battle of five-error teams, Shaw’s four-run fourth was the difference. The Eagles were held to five hits and stranded nine. Riley Scaggs and Kryssi Maddox teamed for seven strikeouts and no walks for Crawford County.

Stratford 7, Southland 0

          Four runs in the first were all the Eagles needed in Kenna McElmurray’s 13-strikeout, one-walk, two-hit night. She had two hits, along with Shelby Bandt and Taylor Justice, who each added two RBI.

Taylor County 13, Peach County 4

Upson-Lee 9, Troup County 1

West Laurens 6, Rutland 2

          The Raiders outhit the Hurricanes 10-4, Rutland suffering four errors. Hudson Smith led West Laurens with four hits, while Makayla Register had three hits, three RBI and two runs. Taylor Sapp held Rutland to four singles, the Hurricanes getting six strikeouts from Amber Summerday.

Westfield 5, ACE 4

          ACE  took a 4-3 lead with one in the top of the seventh on xx, only for Westfield to get two in the bottom half on an error, walk, single, and two-run walkoff single to center from Emma Williams. Carleigh Knowles had two hits and Kendall Fowler a solo homer for the Hornets. Lizzy Mitchell went 4 for 4 with two runs for ACE, which got two hits and three RBI from Mollie Molton and two hits from Regan Foster.

 

Volleyball

ACE 3, Rutland 0 (26-24, 25-15, 25-14)

          The Gryphons improved to 4-4 overall with the sweep. Freshman Taylor Wilson had 10 service aces and sophomore Olivia Deese eight. ACE hosts Northeast on Wednesday, and welcomes Peach County and Chattahoochee on Thursday.
