An eight-spot in the first set up a three-inning game. Peyton Barfield led the Cavs with three hits and three RBI, while MdS got two-hit nights from Henderson Hurdle, Sawyer Stuart, Chloe Nepveux, McKenna Smith, and Isabel Blackwell. Nepveux and Eva Crader teamed for seven strikeouts.

Seven errors doomed the Huskies, who gave up 14 runs in the second and third innings. Howard (2-9/1-5) hosts Baldwin on Thursday, and West Laurens welcomes Spalding.

Winning pitcher Kenna McElmurray (7 Ks in 3 IP) and Taylor Justice had two hits and two RBI each for the Eagles, McElmurray teaming with Paige Gray for a five inning two-hitter.
