The Raiders’ season came to a heartbreaking end, watching a 3-0 lead after one slowly evaporate, Jefferson County scoring a single run in three straight innings later. The Dragon went on top in the top of the sixth with an an unearned run after two outs, and West Laurens stranded a runner in the sixth and in the seventh. Parker Bryant and J.J. Giles each had two hits for the Raiders, who walked five Dragons and struck out two.
Mary Persons 10, Adairsville 0
Cole Carr went 3 for 4, and Nick Howard, Gavin Mitchell, and Bradley Hendricks added 2 hits apiece to lead the 23rd-seed Bulldogs to the romp and clinching win on the road. Carr drove in 3 runs and Howard 2 for Mary Persons, which led 8-0 after three innings and sealed it after a weather delay. Andrew Snow fanned 5 with a walk and 2 hits in 4.1 innings, Shivan Patel finishing the shutout, the Bulldogs’ (17-14) ninth of the season.
Upson-Lee 7, Luella 0
The 26th-seeded Knights knocked off the No. 7 seed, thanks to a 4-run fourth and 2-hit shutout from J Wise, who whiffed 4 with no walks in the complete-game sharp 74-pitch win. Trace Peaden went 3 for 4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs from the No. 3 hole, with River Bridges adding 2 hits and 2 RBI. Upson-Lee (15-14) outscored 17-3 Luella 19-3 in two games, earning their fourth shutout of the season on Saturday.

ACE Charter 6, Elbert County 3
The Gryphons extended the ACE career of head coach Josh McLendon – leaving at the end of the year – by winning the series, thanks to a 5-run fifth, boosted by Slade Hodge’s grand slam. Elbert County loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth, ACE got two outs, then the Blue Devils got a run on a passed ball. Starting pitcher Chase Sasser ended the rally with a groundout, stranding runners on second and third. Sasser gave up a leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh and then got two outs and gave up a walk before the game-ending popup. Brooklyn Giles had two of ACE’s 6 hits, from the bottom of the lineup, and leadoff Brice Whitley scored twice. Sasser went the distance, giving up 8 hits and 3 walks against 2 strikeouts.
