Central Georgia connection gets NFL chance; GMC JC alums busy
The often-overlooked part of the NFL Draft weekend process is the flurry of activity right after it’s over, with free-agent signings and invitations to mini-camps.
So far, it’s quiet as far as Central Georgia connections go, except for one.
Former Mercer defender TJ Moore, who declared early for the draft, earned a rookie mini-camp invite from the New York Giants. Former teammate Myles Redding got the same from Baltimore.
As of 10 p.m. Sunday night, Dublin’s Steve Linton, Houston County’s Wesley Steiner, Warner Robins’ Tyler Fromm, West Laurens’ D’Eryk Jackson, and Warner Robins’ Ahmad Walker had yet to come to any terms with a team.
GMC JC had a pair of former players drafted: Anthony Belton by Green Bay in the second round, Jalen royals by Kansas City in the fourth round,
