Conner Strandmark threw a 6-inning no-hitter in the opener, then came on for a clutch relief appearance in the nightcap to set up the Vikings pulling away late.

Brookstone 13, Tattnall 3, 6 inn.; Brookstone 2, Tattnall 1
A 5-run third inning put Brookstone in control, and the hostss ended it with 5 in the sixth. Tristan Turner had 2 of Tattnall’s 5 hits, the Trojans giving up 6 unearned runs on 3 errors, boosted by allowing 9 walks. Tattnall’s bats were quieted more in the nightcap, managing only 3 hits, countered by 2 errors. Tucker Brown fanned 7 with a walk in a 6-hit complete-game loss. Brookstone scored 1 in the second and 1 in the sixth, the Trojans (22-7) finally breaking through in the bottom of the seventh. Boone Fyke drilled a 2-out homer to left, but the Cougars got the final out on a grounder four pitches later.

John Milledge 13, Frederica 3
Kolt McMichael went 3 for 5, including a homer, to lead the Trojans, who trailed early. John Milledge went up 3-2 after two, and pulled away with a pair of 2-run innings, then a 4-spot and 2 in the seventh to finish off the first game of the series. Frederica had 5 errors, leading to 4 unearned runs. Will Adams added 3 hits and 2 RBI from the leadoff spot and Graysen Paradise 3 hits from the No. 8 slot. Ayden Whidby fanned 7 with 3 walks in 6 innings.

Gatewood 6, Trinity Christian 5; Gatewood 5, Trinity Christian 1
Jayden Moss belted 2 homers and drive in 2 runs to lead Gatewood in the opener. A hit batter, balk, groundout, and single from Ames Johnson put Gatewood on top for good in the bottom of the sixth. Lawson Moore’s 4-for-4 outing paced the Gators in the nightcap. Walker Roberts struck out 13.
