It took Rutland more than a quarter to get on the scoreboard – on a TD pass from Zamarien Johnson to Billy Roquemore – and catch Central, but the Hurricanes got rolling after that, leading 15-12 at halftime and pulling away in the second half. Rutland matched its 4-6 mark in 2023 that preceded a pair of 0-10 seasons, the Hurricanes cracking 40 points in three of this year’s wins. Central finished 3-7 after going 1-29 the last three seasons.

The top-ranked Yellow Jacket stormed out to a 36-0 lead after a quarter en route to their 25th straight win. Northside ends its season at 3-7.
