Local services set for Terrance Gore as tributes continue pouring in

Tributes continue for Jones County’s Terrance Gore, who was celebrated in Florida over the weekend and is set for services this weekend.

Gore’s death at 34 leaves ex-Royals GM ‘heartbroken’
The Macon native died on Feb. 6 from complications during an emergency appendectomy, his wife told a Florida TV station.
Gore is survived by wife Britney, children Zane, Skylan, and Camden, mother Teresa and father Dexter Gore Sr., brother Dexter Jr., grandmother Betty Jean Bonner, and mother-in-law Mary Helms as well as other relatives.
Gore played at Gulf Coast State College in 2010 in Panama City, Fla., where the family had moved. There was a visitation Friday at a funeral home there, and celebration of life Saturday Hiland Park Baptist Church.
Local visitation is Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Richard Robinson Funeral Home and Cremation Services at 2550 Shurling Drive.
The celebration of life is Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Jones County gym, and internment services will follow at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Lakeside Cemetery at 3210 Jeffersonville Rd. in Macon.
“For any players attending, our request is that you come in uniform! Terrance loved the youth and baseball has been his passion his whole life. I feel this is the best way to honor him,” his wife posted on social media and said in Florida interviews.”
A meal train has been started for Gore’s family. Northstar Church in Panama City, Fla., where the Gores had moved, is raising money for the family.
