Central Georgia Tech women take title, men advance to final
Central Georgia Tech knocked off South Georgia Tech 94-83 to win their first GCAA tournament title in program history.
The men of former Westside standout Gerald Fitch got past Gordon 71-64 in overtime, and the Titans will host the championship game on Saturday at 4 p.m. at Titans Arena on Anthony Road.
Henley drops a bit, still in hunt at Players
Russell Henley was rolling right along, with a steady if not unspectacular round, destined for a sub-70 day.
Then came No. 18 at The Players Championship.
A double-bogey to end the afternoon dropped Henley to a 1-under 71 and 5-under tournament, putting him into a tie for 10th place after two rounds.
The Stratford grad sits seven shots behind leader Ludvig Aberg, who torched the course with a Friday 63.
Henley tees off at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday with Matt Fitzpatrick.
