Around/About Central Georgia
Central Georgia Techs falls in tournament championship
A day after the women’s team won the GCAA tournament title, the men were unable to match the feat.
A shot at the rim by Kaziaes Hemphill rolled in and out in the final seconds and the Titans lost 75-75 to visiting South Georgia State in the GCAA tournament championship.
Roosevelt Brown led CGTC (24-7) with 24 points, with 11 from Kaden Douglass and 10 from Hemphill.
Veterans grad Chandler Thomas had 12 points and 7 rebounds to help South Georgia State, while co-Warhawk Aaron Jones chipped in 5 points and a block.

Henley just off in third round
A little bit here and a little bit there, and Russell Henley would be in the hunt.
Alas, not so much.
Two very makeable par putts turned into frustrating bogeys and interrupted what could’ve been a good round Saturday at The Players Championship.
Instead, Henley dropped five spots and into a tie for 15th after a second straight 1-under 71.
He’s still seven back of leader Ludvig Aberg, who also shot a 71, and has a 3-shot lead.
Henley was unable to knock down a 12-footer on 5 and one inside 10 feet on 15 for bogeys. Two-putt finishes on eight holes also kept Henley from making a move.
He’s only 35th in shots gained putting – 63rd for the round, wasting a nice day in driving accuracy - and 41st in putts per greens in regulation.
Henley tees off at 12:15 p.m. with Ryo Histsune.
