Henley continues progress at Cadillac
Russell Henley is amid one of his more steady stretches of play, and it’s put him in position for a top-10 finish at the Cadillac.
Henley’s second straight 70 lifted him 10 spots into a tie for 16th entering the final round.
He’s 11 shots back of leader Cam Young, but only five behind the second-place trio of Scottie Scheffler, Si Woo Kim, and Kristoffer Reitan.
It was a slightly odd round for Henley, with only one par and one bogey, to go with one eagle.
On a day of near-misses on the green, Henley dropped a 22-footer for the eagle on par-5 No. 8, a 578-yard hole that Henley nearly covered in two.
Henley went from rough to drop to rough and barely missed a 17-footer for par on No. 14.
Weather is in play for Sunday, and Henley tees off at 8:42 a.m. with Daniel Berger and Harry Hall, the field using both No. 1 and No. 10.
