Perry’s Madilynn Foster has signed with South Carolina State for women’s soccer. She is the program’s first Division I signee, having scored 85 goals with 14 assists during her Panther career, helping Perry to a 40-0 region record.

Central Georgia trio shows off at MLB Draft Combine
Houston County alums Drew Burress and Isaiah Galason and FPD’s Keon Johnson are among the large collection of prospects showing off for officials on the big stage.
The sixth MLB Draft Combine got going Tuesday in Phoenix, with nearly 350 prospects going at it through Friday.
As per MLB.com, Burress is ranked as the No. 7 prospect, Johnson is No. 114, with Galason on the large unranked list.
Burress is done at Georgia Tech, which has Galason’s signature. Johnson has signed with Vanderbilt.
Georgia’s Daniel Jackson is No. 39, Tech’s Jarren Advincula is No. 42, Georgia’s Joey Volchko is No. 73 and Tre Phelps No. 116.
At No. 131 is Tech’s Carson Kerce, with teammate Alex Hernandez at No. 143. UGA’s Rylan Lujo is No. 187 and Dylan Vigue No. 199.
MLB.com cited Etowah outfielder Trevor Condon as a first-day standout.
The MLB draft is July 11-12.
