Georgia Southern’s Byington resigns

Mark Byington took over a tough situation at Georgia Southern, which had a lone winning season in the seven before he showed up.

He turned things around in his seven years, and now he’s headed to take over at James Madison. JMU is in the CAA, where Byington played (UNCW) and coached as an assistant (College of Charleston).

Byington leaves with a 131-97 record and 100 percent graduation rate.
