It’s likely to be a quiet NFL Draft weekend for alums of Central Georgia high schools.

The NFL.com’s draft tracker does have a few area connections on list of potential picks. There are almost 260 selections to be made.

Dublin’s Steve Linton played at Syracuse, Texas Tech, and finished at Baylor. Despite not being a full-time starter in college, he earned an invite to the NFL Combine.

He has a 5.86 grade (average backup/special teamer). ESPN.com on Wednesday had him  ranked as the 296th draft-eligible player.

Mercer cornerback TJ Moore has a 5.64 grade (Same).

Among those as possible late picks or quick free-agent signings: Houston County/Warner Robins TE Tyler Fromm, Georgia Southern; West Laurens LB D’Eryk Jackson, Kentucky; Warner Robins LB Ahmad Walker, SMU; Houston County LB Wesley Steiner, Auburn/Washington State.

Also among those in that category: Mercer DB Myles Redding; FVSU RB Brandon Marshall.
