Watchers are wondering about Perry, which is on a 6-13 stretch since 2024. Can there really be that much rebuilding going on for this long? A week off after routing Locust Grove could be perfect timing for the Panthers.

Callaway, 3-3/2-1, at Lamar County, 4-2/2-1
Early on, it seemed like Callaway was a legit contender, but has struggled. Lamar County can set itself up for second place – Pike County is in the hunt, until playing Lamar County – with a win.

ACE, 5-1/1-1, at Bleckley County, 5-1/1-1
A tough region and schedule timing makes it tough to rebound from an inefficient game and loss, which is what ACE faces. Bleckley County lost to Dublin and stormed back with a solid thrashing of Swainsboro. The Royals – players, not coaches – have to avoid overconfidence from ACE’s last loss, and the Royals’ 48-9 win last year. This can easily be a better game than the spread.

Another big showdown awaits Macon County, which has answered every call this season. Schley County knows this stage, having lost only three region games the last five seasons.
