Northside has lost 10 of its last 11 games, and now six are by 14 points or less.

Veterans 35, Trinity Christian 31 (Click here for full story)
The Warhawks pulled off their biggest win in a few years, even if the opponent is technically in Class AA. Itâs Veteransâ first win outside of Houston County since beating Tift County 27-20 late in the 2022 season. The Blue Devils finished 1-9 that year. The Warhawks stormed back from a 21-7 second-quarter and 24-14 halftime deficit. Deric Ingramâs pick-6 put Veterans up 29-24. The Warhawks extended the lead, and eventually survived a deep drive when Trinity Christian fumbled it out of the end zone in the final seconds.
Class 5A
4A Peach County 42, Jones County 19
The visitors pretty much put it away with three second-quarter touchdowns â two short runs and a long pass - en route to a 28-6 halftime lead. The lead grew to 35-6 in the third quarter.
Warner Robins 21, Northeast 20
The Demons had to seriously sweat out the visitors, not scoring first until late in the first half. They led 14-0 before Northeast got going. Jordan Wiggins hit Tinsley with a 24-yard TD pass, but the conversion failed with 3:41 left in the third. A knee on a low snap gave Northeast the ball inside the 10, but Warner Robins defense held only to quickly fumble it back. A fourth-and-15 pass interference call kept the Raidersâ drive, setting up a fourth and 5. Northeast was whistled for a procedure call, for fourth and 10 and the 29. Flushed from the pocket, Wiggins turned in a huge winding 29-yard touchdown with 6:37 left, but another failed conversion kept it at 14-12.
The Raiders took the lead when Wiggins connected with Jacory Sherman for a 38-yard touchdown pass with 3:29 left. The pass conversion was good for a 20-14 lead, but an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty pushed the kickoff back to the 25, then Warner Robins penalty â after a conference â for unsportsmanlike conduct nullified a huge kickoff return. But Warner Robins, starting inside the Northeast 25, adeptly ate clock and got an Antavious Hawkins 3-yard run with 16 seconds left, the game-winning PAT â Warner Robins has no kicker listed on the MaxPreps roster and doesnât post stats â followed.

Valdosta 56, Howard 6
The Huskies hung with the Wildcats into the second quarter, trailing only 14-6.

2A Dodge County 30, Lamar County 13
The Indians broke a 13-all halftime game and then sealed it with a 10-0 fourth quarter. Landon Hamrickâs 10-yard score put Dodge County up for good early in the third, and another rushing score midway through the fourth quarter sealed it. Lamar County got a 56-yard run from Jordan Sanford and 75-yard TD pass from Davis Williams to Jayden Doctor.
Central 42, Jordan 0
ACE 23, Washington County 20
The Gryphons trailed 12-3 at halftime and then 20-3 with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. But they hung tough, getting a TD run to pull within 10, and then a touchdown pass cut it to 20-17. Then on fourth and 10, senior quarterback Ace Hatcher hit Brady Balkom on the right sideline, and he kept his feet for a 38-yard touchdown with 39 seconds left.
Class AA
Bleckley County 34, Cook 19
It was tied at 6 when the lightning delay arrived. The rest of the night pretty much belonged to the Royals, keyed by a 14-0 third quarter. Brody Flemingâs short TD pass to Kix Foskey broke the tie in the second quarter, and Zyion Love started the Royalsâ run with a 45-yard touchdown for a 20-6 lead. Fleming connected to Jason McNutty for a third-quarter score and 27-6 lead. Cook got within 27-19 early in the fourth, thanks in part to a botched pooch kick and fumble, but that was it.
SE Bulloch 26, East Laurens 26, OT
Jasper County 33, Mary Persons 22
The upset of the Central Georgia season so far came courtesy in large part of Hurricane running back Chance Ross and the defense. Mary Persons led 7-6 at halftime, and Jasper County kicked two field goals for a 12-7 lead with just under 9 minutes left in the game. That grew on a pick-6 by M.J.Maddox for a 19-7 lead, Wailer Sands putting it away with 3:26 left. Mary Persons got a long touchdown pass to make it 26-14 with 2:27 left. Ross followed a long run with a short-yardage TD - his second of the night - run to seal it.
Dublin 41, Perry 20
Perry went from a 10-0 lead midway through the first quarter â on a 15-yard Kam Oliver run and 21-yard Carson Camp field goal - to a 19-13 deficit midway through the second quarter after touchdowns from Travion Bostic â 2 covering 100 yards â and Jamarcus Knight. It was downhill from there for the visitors. A lightning delay didnât help the 5A Panthers, whose deficit was 20 points after Ryland Yatesâ 1-yard score early in the fourth quarter. The Irish added icing with a short scoring run with 37 seconds left. Dublin racked up a whopping 540 yards on the ground to 128 for Perry, which outpassed Dublin 209-22. Knight went for 198 yards on 10 carries, Bostic for 147 on 14, while a third of Rylandâs 9 carries went for TDs. Jhamard Cobb was 13 of 20 for 196 yards for Perry, 118 yard of those yards to J.D. Arnette on 3 catches.

Mitchell County 30, Hawkinsville 26
Hawkinsville couldnât hold on late, after leading 23-16 at halftime and 26-22 entering the fourth quarter. Mitchell County scored the game-winner on the ground midway through the fourth.

Dylan Reeves ran for 116 yards and Harris Everitt scored twice and added two fourth-quarter touchdowns to lead FPD. The Vikings took advantage of four turnovers, but had trouble stopping Westfield QB Brock Johnson, who ran for 89 tough yards and passed for 179, but was picked off four times.
Southland 49, CFCA 21
Brentwood 49, Gatewood 27
The War Eagles got their first win of the season in style against their rivals, boosted by a 21-7 second quarter. Tristan Robinson scored on runs of 4 and 1 and Baylor Cobb went in from 1 and 9 yards out en route to a 28-7 halftime lead. Gatewood cut the margin in half, but only for a few minutes, until Chase Daniel went in from the 3 in the third quarter.
John Milledge 49, Piedmont 7
The Cougars paid dearly for 5 turnovers, which kept JMAâs yardage down. The Trojans needed only 33 yards for four rushing touchdowns, getting a fumble recoever for one score, a 61-yard TD pass from Nathan Snow to Gus Cummings and 39-yard to Asa Wall. Snow completed 7 of 9 for 183 yards

Edmund Burke couldnât score in the first quarter, but put up 28 in the second.
Windsor 41, Augusta Prep 7
The Knights had no trouble on the road, marching out to a 27-7 halftime lead from a 7-7 game, and throwing a shutout for three quarters. Heath Woodard was 14 of 22 for 99 yards and a score, while Jaquan Lewis went off for 178 yards and 3 scores on 21 carries.
