Editor’s note: Thanks to FPD and Dublin for sending box scores, and Tattnall and Perry for sending some information Friday night to The Central Georgia Sports Report.

Useable and fairly complete (names, likely accuracy, and some detail) information was available on MaxPreps’ Scoretracker feature from Upson-Lee, Northeast, West Laurens, Mary Persons, Dublin-Bleckley County, and Brentwood.

Note: Scoretracker users, please note the time of major plays and all scores, and use names as much as possible. Please check accuracy of yardage listed as well.

Class 6A
Veterans 24, Northside 21
The Eagles led 14-3 at halftime and 21-3 early in the fourth quarter, but Veterans scored 21 unanswered in the fourth quarter to pull it off.

Class 5A
Jones County 17, Ola 14, OT
Down 14-0 after three quarters, Jones County got on the board nine seconds into the fourth quarter on a pass of nearly 30 yards from Jonathan Hurley to Kaden Canty. They tied it with 3:21 left on a long pass. Jacob Watts’ field goal gave Jones County (3-3/1-0) its third straight win a spot in the 2-5A drivers seat.

Perry 57, Locust Grove 14
The Panthers broke a two-game losing streak in a big way, with their biggest point total since the epic 80-47 win over New Hampstead in 2024, and largest margin of victory since thumping Wayne County 56-7 two weeks later. Ja’Quaivion Green returned two kickoffs 80 yards for touchdowns, while Kam Oliver had two touchdown runs and JD Garman a pair of touchdown catches and a scoring run.

Warner Robins 55, Eagle’s Landing 0
The Demons dropped the hammer early with a 21-0 lead after one and 35-0 at halftime. Warner Robins has outscored its last two opponents 124-29, its best two-game stretch since thumping Veterans 59-3 and Jonesboro 64-20 in 2021.

Class 4A
Baldwin 55, Westside 21
Kam Patterson went off in a huge way, completing 26 of 28 passes for 558 yards and 6 touchdowns against only 1 interception to lead Baldwin to the romp. Jacob Hester Jr. caught 7 passes for 158 yards and 2 scores, with Jerrick Carswell taking in 4 passes for 101 yards and a score. Five Braves caught touchdown passes, and seven rushers ran for 209 yards on 32 carries, an average of 6.5 yards a try. Baldwin lost 70-55 to West Laurens last year, and it’s the top point total in a win since 57-0 over Hephzibah in 2024.

Howard 32, Upson-Lee 0
The Huskies played steady, with a touchdown in the first three quarters and two in the fourth. They got going on a long touchdown catch by Dre Christian with about five minutes left in the first and went up two scores on Julius Ramsey’s short rushing touchdown. Ramsey all but sealed it with a 10-yarder a few minutes into the third quarter for the Huskies second straight win. Howard recorded its first shutout since 49-0 over Pike County in 2023.

Peach County 62, Spalding 21
The Trojans held Spalding to 143 yards passing and 78 yards rushing, cracking the 60-point mark for the third time in five games.

Troup County 24, Mary Persons 21 (Click here for full story)
The battle of top 10 teams more than lived up to expectations, Mary Persons winning the fourth quarter 14-11 to tie it, on a 30-yard rushing touchdown from LJ Zellner with about four minutes left. Troup then turned in a huge drive, eating up clock and yards to set up the game-winning walk-off field goal from 33 yards. Troup led 10-0 before Jordan Singleton’s 42-yard pass to Mason Stephens got the Bulldogs on the board. They took a 14-13 lead on another Singleton-to-Stephens connection in the fourth quarter, but lost it again on a TD pass and conversion.

West Laurens 21, SE Bulloch 0
The Raiders got more than enough with two first-quarter touchdowns, on Kaden Bloodsaw’s 1-yarder and then his 50-yard run. Jaden Stanley went in from 45 yards almost midway through the second quarter for a 21-0 lead. West Laurens defense sealed it, breaking a two-game losing streak while getting the Raiders’ first shutout since 56-0 over Cross Creek a year and two weeks ago.

Class 3A
Northeast 31, Lamar County 8 (Click here for full story)
The homestanding Raiders turned a big region showdown of ranked (Georgia HS Football Daily Composite polls) into a solid win. They took a 6-0 first-quarter lead on Jordan Wiggins’ 40-yard pass to Jordan Durham, adding to it in the second quarter on Wiggins’ run and his long pass to Tavares Tinsley Jr. The Trojans broke the shutout on a short fourth-down run, but Northeast answered almost immediately with another long Wiggins-to-Tinsley connection.

Jackson 52, Rutland 8

Washington County 38, Westside-Augusta 14
The Golden Hawks turned in their best offensive performance, almost doubling their best total of the season with the road win, beating Westside for the eighth straight time.

Class AA
ACE 17, Vidalia 7
The Gryphons picked up the road win in a defensive battle, leading only 3-0 at halftime on field goal in the final minute of the second quarter. ACE added a passing touchdown in the third quarter for a 10-0 lead, Vidalia getting within three nearly midway through the fourth on a long touchdown run, but the visitors sealed it with a pass from ACE Hatcher to Jaylon Davis with about three minutes left, the defense finishing it off.

Putnam County 56, Aquinas 24
The War Eagles cracked 50 for the second time this season, rebounding nicely from last week’s 42-26 home loss to Laney.

Dublin 27, Bleckley County 21
Jaydon McRae’s 13-yard run with 10:48 left in the game put Dublin (4-1/1-0) on top, and then the Irish defense came up with a big defensive stand inside its own 15 with less than a minute to preserve the huge region win. Dublin’s defense was big in the second half, Bleckley County (4-1/0-1) taking a 21-14 halftime lead on Octavius Tate’s 85-yard interception return for a score in the final minute of the second quarter. That came shortly after Ryland Yates’ second score, an 11-yarder, put Dublin up 14-7. Dublin outgained Bleckley County 332-149 on the ground and 346-284 overall on five more plays. Zyion Love ran for 102 yards on 20 carries to lead Bleckley County while Brody Fleming was 13 of 25 for 135 yards. Jamarcus Knight had 127 yards on 14 carries for Dublin, Travion Bostic adding 90 on 14 and McRae 73 on 11.

Jasper County 30, Laney 28
The Hurricanes led 7-6 and spent the game holding off the hosts. The lead was 27-12 in the third quarter, and dropped to 30-28 midway through the fourth quarter, Laney getting one score on a fumble return for a score and adding the conversion. Jasper County got a field goal, and then held on.

Swainsboro 42, East Laurens 13

Class A

Taylor County 64, Chattahoochee County 6
The Vikings weren’t very nice hosts, racking up their biggest point total since last year’s 54-0 win over Marion County and first 60-point game since beating old Stewart-Quitman 64-0 late in the 2004 season.

Marion County 56, Crawford County 14

Hawkinsville 21, Dooly County 6
The Red Devils took care of business to get back on the winning track, in the region opener.

Jenkins County 7, GMC Prep 0
The hosts made a first-quarter touchdown stand.

Twiggs County, 1-3, at Wilkinson County, 1-3
No score reported as of 4 a.m.

GIAA

Tattnall 27, Mount de Sales 6 (Click here for complete story)
The Trojans got 81 yards on 14 carries from Micah Clyde, while Angelo Bellamy was 8 of 13 for 101 yards, each with a touchdown. Tattnall led 14-0 at halftime, Mount de Sales getting its score in the third quarter.

Stratford 20, FPD 12 (Click here for complete story)
The defending 4A champs never trailed but could never put away the Vikings, who stayed close despite getting only about a yard per rush and getting outgained by nearly 200 yards. Stratford led 14-6 at halftime and 14-12 in the third quarter, getting two second-half field goals by George Dunn to hold on. Tucker Johnston threw for 255 yards for the Eagles.

Gatewood 48, Trinity Christian 13
The Gators gave up 182 rushing yards, but stymied the Crusaders’ passing game, holding them to 41 yards on 4 completions, to roll.

Piedmont 26, Flint River 6
The Cougars picked up their first win, knocking off the 2023 Class A champ and 2025 semifinalist.

Brentwood 42 Pinewood 22
Brentwood took control early, but Pinewood put up a little fight in the second half, albeit trailing 42-8 at halftime. Quez Collins ran it in from 22 yards for the first score and then returned a fumble about 70 yards for a 14-0 lead , Tristan Robinson adding a TD run only a few minutes later, en route to a 28-8 lead after one.
