After a scoreless third quarter, undefeated Houston County put it away with a 17-0 fourth quarter.
Thomas County Central 70, Northside 0
The Yellow Jackets led 21-0 after one and doubled it up to 42-0 at halftime. Northside suffered its worst loss in program history and its second straight shutout. TCC scored 70 for the second time this season (78-14 over Florida HS in late August).

Lee County 48, Veterans 3

Class 4A
Ware County 21, Perry 14
It was tied at 7 and 14, Ware County taking the lead on a TD pass three minutes into the fourth quarter. But the Panthers couldn’t manage an answer.
Warner Robins 34, New Hampstead 26
The Demons stayed alive in the playoff hunt, now tied for fourth with Wayne County, a 75-7 loser to Benedictine. But the Demons lose a playoff tiebreaker to Wayne County. It’s Warner Robins’ second-highest point total of the season, after 53-0 over Fayette County.
Class 3A
Aquinas 27, Baldwin 20
Aquinas scored on the final play of the first half on a 59-yard pass play, then took a 21-14 lead midway through the third quarter in improbable fashion, when quarterback Jack Rhodes chased down an awry shotgun snap and connected with Christian Kates for a 61-yard score.. The Braves answered in the final seconds of the third quarter on an 8-yard run from Tavares Hooks, but botched the PAT. Aquinas came up with a game-saving defensive stand with a fourth-down stop with 4:09 left in the game, Baldwin unable to finish some quality second-half drives.
Peach County 45, Bainbridge 7
Bainbridge battled to stay within 14-7 in the second quarter, but trailed 21-7 halftime and watched the Trojans score three third-quarter touchdowns – Caiden Ivory’s 25-yard pass to Ashton Barton and 30-yarder to Brisco Freeman followed by Davion Ford’s return of a blocked punt – to put it away.
Upson-Lee 42, Fayette County 10
Fayette County took a 3-0 lead on a field goal midway through the first quarter, but it was downhill after that. Less than a minute later, Jy Garmon went more than 70 yards for the Knights first score, Garmon scoring again from inside the 15 less than three minutes after that for a 14-3 lead in the first quarter. Upson-Lee went up by 18 when Niko Wells hit Jayden Skelton on a fourth-down pass for a touchdown halfway through the second quarter.
West Laurens 42, Hephzibah 7
West Laurens was clicking from the start, scoring on its first four possessions en route to its fifth 40-point game and fourth win of at least 30 points. Shannon Adkins got the scoring started from 11 yards out, and Cason Pollock plowed in early in the second quarter. Pollock hit Juvon Hill late in the half, and Branden Brooks took a screen pass 57 yards even later in the half. The defense held West Laurens’ fifth opponent to less than 10 points to remain undefeated and tied with Westside-Augusta for first in 4-AAA.
Howard 40, Cross Creek 0
The Huskies scored a season high while recording their first shutout of 2025, and first since 56-0 over Central early in the 2023 season.
Mary Persons 26, Spalding 0
The Bulldogs picked up their second shutout of the season amid a 1-3 slide. Mary Persons scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns and a field goal for a 17-0 halftime lead. The Bulldogs are tied for fourth at 3-3, 5-3 overall.

Jeff Davis 42, Rutland 6
Class A/Division I
ACE 35, Southwest 21 (Click here for full story)
The Patriots marched out to a 21-0 lead that ACE cut to 21-7 at halftime. The Gryphons opened the third quarter with a scoring drive when Ace Hatcher connected with Jack Perry for a 40-yarder on the third play of the quarter, five plays before Perry was on the receiving end of a 19-yard TD pass from Brady Balkcom after a lateral from Hatcher. They tied it on another flashy play when Noah Syme passed to Will Conn from 7 yards out with 9:22 left in the game. Bryson Vincent went 65 yards a few minutes later for ACE’s first lead, the Gryphons’ defense holding Southwest scoreless from the 9:55 mark of the second quarter on.
Dodge County 51, Jefferson County 12
The Indians rolled as expected, staying in a logjam atop the region. Dodge County hosts Northeast, another tri-leader, on Friday.
Dublin 42, Bleckley County 19
Bleckley County kicked a 27-yard field goal in the final minute to pull within 14-13 at halftime. But the second half bore little resemblance to the first-half battle. The Irish scored three third-quarter touchdowns – a 2-yard Jaydon McRae run, 35-yard pass from Jeff Davis to Ja’Karian Jones after Quantavis Lovett’s pick, and a 27-yarder from Trav Bostic – for a 35-13 lead entering the fourth quarter. Dublin outgained Bleckley County 369-299 on 12 fewer plays. Jamarcus Knight went for 129 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries for Dublin, Bostic adding 93 on 9. Ryan Fleming completed 19 of 36 for 209 yards for Bleckley County, which was held to 90 yards on 26 carries. Dublin is now tied for first in 2-A/I with Northeast and Dodge County,
Jasper County 42, Social Circle 7
Quarterback JT Thomas had a night for the undefeated Hurricanes, passing for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns while rushing for 146 yards. Chance Ross cruised past the 1,000-yard mark with 138 yards and 2 touchdowns on 22 carries as part of the Hurricanes’ 348-yard rushing night. Dee Pennamon caught 3 passes for 65 yards and a score, and J.T Robinson scored his first career touchdown on a 17-yarder in the third quarter. Zech Smith abd Brelynd Beasley picked off passes for Jasper County. Social Circle avoided its first shutout since 2023 midway through the fourth quarter.
Lamar County 25, Putnam County 14
The hosts led 14-7 after three quarters, but Kenyae Barnes returned a punt 71 yards for a score only for Putnam County to block the PAT. A little more than three minutes later, Ross Hamrick hit Jayden Doctor for a 12-yard TD pass and a 19-14 lead after another failed conversion. Lamar County’s defense held strong, and Barnes’ 6-yard run with 3:22 left sealed it.
Washington County 26, East Laurens 14
The Golden Hawks took an early 12-0 lead, East Laurens getting a score late in the second quarter. But that momentum evaporated when X’zaira Miller carried the second-half kickoff the distance. Washington County added more cushion on a TD pass late in the third. The teams are tied for sixth, but more importantly, are very close and on the bubble to make the postseason.

Westfield 17, Brookstone 7
It was a 7-all halftime game between the top two teams in the district. Versatile Westfield quarterback Brock Johnson kept around the left side from the 2 on third down for the lead with 9:37 left in the third quarter. The Hornets defense held Brookstone to its lowest total since FPD’s 6-3 win in early September last season. Westfield wins the district outright with a win next week against St. Anne-Pacelli.
