The rankings are from the Georgia High School Football Daily composite.
Come back tonight for Central Georgia’s only live running scoreboard, and Saturday morning for Central Georgia’s most complete - names, stats, details - game-night coverage.

3A Peach County, 4-0, at Northside, 0-4
The Trojans are breaking in a new quarterback, and Caiden Ivory is off to a good start, with 158.8 yards a game, nearly half of the yards going to Zion Hudson. Northside is getting outscored by only 8.5 points a game, compared to 3.3 points a year ago. The Eagles lead the series 15-6, but Peach County won 50-7.

4A Warner Robins, 2-2, at Veterans, 2-2
The Demons are being outscored by 2.5 points a game, 6.25 for the Warhawks. Veterans is looking for its first win in the nine-game series, and first close game since an 18-13 loss in 2016. The closest game since then: a pair of 28-point margins, in 2018 and 2020. Neither team is posting stats publicly.

Class 4A
6A East Coweta, 0-4, at Perry, 2-2
This isn’t your normal winless team visiting Herb St. John. The Indians outgain the Panthers 397-332 in total offense, with 213.3 yards on the ground. Reid Ginn is completing 60.4 percent of his passes for 191.3 yards a game, but with only two more touchdowns than interceptions. Quentin Crane leads the Perry defense with 8.3 tackles a game, and Johntavious Carswell has 4 interceptions. East Coweta won 31-15 last year en route to a 4-7 record, and 57-9 first-round playoff loss to Buford.

Upson-Lee, 3-1/1-1, at Whitewater, 1-2/0-1
Of the Knights’ three single-digit losses last year, one was to Whitewater, 31-24, after falling 31-0 to Sandy Creek, who beat Upson-Lee 42-7 last week. Niko Wells is completing 58.2 percent of his passes for 128.5 yards a game, Chestin Howard leading the ground game with 76 yards a game, Wells getting 4 rushing touchdowns.

Class 3A
West Laurens, 4-0/2-0, at Harlem, 3-0/1-0
The Bulldogs are one of the few teams around cracking the 400-yard mark on offense, almost splitting it down the middle. West Laurens runs for 307.5 yards a game, one of the few teams cracking the 300-yard mark on the ground. Ty Cummings leads the way with 123.3 yards, but the Raiders have multiple threats. Mercer Barton passes for 177.7 yards for Harlem, Malik Tyler getting 128 yards on the ground.

Class AA
A/I Lamar County, 3-0, at Westside, 1-3
Westside hopes to avoid the first four-game losing streak in program history. That would have happened last year after a similar 1-3 start, a 3-game losing streak ending with a 20-10 win over Lamar County in Barnesville.

Class A/Division I
East Laurens, 1-3/1-2, at Dodge County, 3-1/2-1

The Indians have owned the series, 14-1, the lone East Laurens win coming in 2008, 28-14.

Jasper County, 4-0, at Towers, 2-1
Chance Ross is running for 140 yards a game for Jasper County, the defense led by Cope Durand, good for 8.5 tackles a game. The Hurricanes haven’t been 5-0 since 1996 when they finished 8-3, first losing in Game 6 to Lincoln County.

Jefferson County, 0-4/0-3, at Dublin, 3-1/3-0
The Irish are rolling along with 336 yards a game on the ground. Trav Bostic leads the balanced backfield with 90.8 yards a game. Dublin’s D is led by Kye Young with 5.3 tackles a game and Jalen Dardy with 4 sacks. The series is tied at 5, Dublin winning three straight, and by an average of 52 points.

Kumari Thomas and Omarion Butts team for nearly 170 yards on the ground each week. McNair, though, runs for 248.8 yards a game. Putnam County won the first meeting, 45-37 last year.

Northeast, 3-1/3-0, at ACE Charter, 4-0/3-0
Two of the three teams undefeated in Region 2-A/Division I play meet, with ACE the only lossless team in the region. ACE’s defense will be tested by quickly-maturing freshman QB Jordan Wiggins, off a 6-TD passing performance last week. He’s good for 185.8 yards passing, the Raiders rushing for 121. Bryson Vincent leads the ACE ground game with 142 yards. Talien Sampson for Northeast and Williams Winters for ACE are good for 11.5 and 13.5 stops per game. ACE has a huge kicking advantage with Henry Carter. The Raiders have won 47-21, 52-26, and 46-0 in the only 3 meetings.

Class A/Division II
Macon County, 1-4, 1-0, at Chattahoochee County, 1-3/0-1
