Class 5A
Jones County, 4-3/3-0, at Perry, 2-4/1-1
With the new playoff setup, Perry is in must-win mode the rest of the season to make the playoffs, at No. 33 in the playoff rankings. The teams are even, Jones County with 12 more yards of offense a game, but the Greyhounds are stronger on defense. Perry has won the two most recent meetings (2022-23) and leads the series 14-6, which was dormant from 1994-2021,  having started in 1954 with head coaches Goot Steiner and Herb St. John.

Editor’s note: Thanks to FPD, John Milledge, and Dublin for sending game information Friday night to The Central Georgia Sports Report., and Perry on Saturday.

Class 4A
Spalding, 3-3/0-3, at Upson-Lee, 0-6/0-3
The Jaguars are more than doubling the Knights in total offense, 324.8-143. Upson-Lee has had epic struggles on offense, being shut out three times and failing to hit double figures yet. Spalding has given up 142 points in its last three games. The Knights lead the series 8-2, having won the two most recent meetings (15-6 in 2025 and 16-13 in 2024).

Harlem, 4-2/2-0, at West Laurens, 3-3/2-0
West Laurens can take a big step toward a playoff spot with a win, while a loss pushes Harlem nearer the bubble. The Raiders are still working on the passing game to go with a respectable run game, while Bulldogs are pretty balanced. The series is tied at 1.

Class 3A
Callaway, 3-3/2-1, at No. 14T Lamar County, 4-2/2-1
Both teams run the ball well, but Callaway is a bigger threat through the air, with about 100 more passing yards a game. Callaway leads the series 13-4-1, winning 46-7 in the last meeting, in 2019, the ninth straight win.

Glenn Hills, 3-3/1-2, at No. 13T Putnam County, 5-1/2-1

The Irish are getting 334 yards a game on the ground and have 13 rushing touchdowns spread out among seven players. Jamarcus Knight leads the way with 117.2 yards, while Ryland Yates has 4 TDs. Knight eads Dublin’s defense with 6.4 tackles a game.
