Houston County 48, Northside 0 (Click here for a full story)
The Bearsâ won by the biggest margin in the series history, dating back to 1998. Houston County won its fourth straight over Northside to improve to 7-0 for the first time in program history. Jordan Smith dealt the first bruise by returning the opening kickoff 90 yards. Javien Durham added a rushing TD midway through the first quarter with Colin Anderson scoring only a few minutes later en route to a 35-0 halftime lead.
Thomas County Central 48, Veterans 0
The Yellow Jackets led 41-0 at halftime en route to Veteransâ first shutout of the season and Thomas County Centralâs third.
Class 4A
Jones County 27, McDonough 24, OT
McDonough was forced to kick a field goal in overtime, and Jones County made it hurt when Kaden Canty went in from the 5 for the game-winner. The Greyhounds tied it in the third quarter on Deterrence Hollowayâs long kickoff return and Cason Taylorâs conversion pass to Drew Williams.
Perry 38, Wayne County 0
Decorrion Daniels got Perry going with a short TD run four minutes into the game, adding another one early in the second quarter. Reid Ginn added a TD pass as the Panthers rolled to a 21-0 win. Itâs Perryâs biggest win of the season, and first shutout since 38-0 over Veterans in mid September of 2024. Daniels ran for 96 yards on 16 carries, and Ginn was 9 of 16 for 113 yards. The Perry defense held Wayne County to 39 yards total offense on 43 plays, while Perry had 54 snaps and gained 308 yards.

The Demons gave up more than 50 points since opening the 2016 season with a 55-3 loss to Northside, followed three games later by a 63-28 loss to Houston County. Itâs unofficially Warner Robinsâ worst loss in program history, and it got off to a bad start, with a safety inside the first minute. The clock ran the entire second half.
Class 3A
Peach County 52, Westover 20
Westover gave Peach County a first-half battle, trailing 31-20 at halftime, the Patriots scoring in the final minute, but the Trojans put it away with three scores in the third quarter, getting started with Ashton Bartonâs 9-yard score four minutes into the quarter and adding a Zion Ellison run four minutes later.
Richmond Academy 47, Baldwin 37 (Click here for a full story)
The good news is that Baldwin has scored 92 points in its last two games. That bad news is that the Braves have given up 117 in the same span.
Mary Persons 42, Trinity Christian 20
The Bulldog defense held Trinity Christian to a pair of 3-point quarters in the middle while outscoring the Lions 35-6 in that span. Trinity Christian passed for 197 yards and ran for 125. CJ Banks got Mary Persons going with a short TD run less than three minutes into the game, and followed an early second-quarter Trinity Christian field goal with a 61-yard TD pass from Mac Nelson to Mason Stephens a few minutes later, and added a TD pass late in the second quarter.
Troup 35, Upson-Lee 7
Troup charged out to a 19-0 halftime lead and held the Knights scoreless until the final minute when Jayden Skelton went in from the 6.
Westside-Augusta 49, Howard 7
The Patriots led 35-7 at halftime as Howard lost its fifth straight game for the first time since 2021.
Class AA
Morgan County 60, Rutland 27
Rutland put up the most points Morgan County has allowed this season, but the Bulldogs upped their average to 51.6 points a game, giving up 17.4.
Class A/Division I
Bleckley County 14, Northeast 13 (Click here for a full story)
Inconsistent kicking and 5-yard penalties havenât gotten in Northeastâs way all season, but a missed partially-blocked PAT late in the first half and mistakes galore in the second half left the door open for Bleckley County. Northeast had plenty of chances to score, but often sabotaged itself. And the Royals took advantage. They tied it on Deondrez Robinsonâs 44-yard touchdown run with 4:31 left in the game, game, and took the lead on the all-important kick, from Jonah Kelley.
There now four 5-1 teams in 2-A/Division I: Bleckley County (6-1), Dodge County (6-1), Dublin (5-2) and Northeast (5-2).
Dodge County 38, Washington County 19
The homestanding Indians marched out to a 24-6 halftime lead on, in part, a long Jeremiah Alston run, and two Kain Mincey TD passes to Jerimiah Burns
Dublin 42, ACE 27
The visiting Gryphons made Dublin sweat for a little while, taking a 13-7 lead on a 50-yard run by Ace Hatcher, and 7-yard pass from Hatcher to Brady Balckcom. The Irish answered with three touchdowns from three different players â Jamarcus Knightâs run, Will Wallaceâs pass reception, and Trav Bosticâs run â for a 28-12 lead by the 9:17 mark of the third quarter. Hatcherâs 1-yard run got the Gryphons within 28-19 at the 4:55 mark of the third quarter, but neither team scored again until late, when they combined for three touchdowns in barely a minute, between 2:46 and 1:44 left.
Knight ran 15 times for 233 yards and three scores, Bostic adding 162 yards on 20 as part of Dublinâs 447-yard rushing attack. Hatcher had 84 yards on the ground, the Irish holding Bryson Vincent to 42 on 13.
East Laurens 14, Southwest 0
The Falcons turned in their second shutout of the year, both against Bibb County public schools (58-0 over Central in early September). A 6-0 lead stood until Norrion Kingâs punt return for a touchdown in the final three minutes. East Laurens took the lead on Jason Gilesâ pass to Bryson Hazley midway through the first quarter. Itâs the Falconsâ first win in six games against Southwest.
Lamar County 27, Towers 0
The Trojans got going on a short scoop and score from Jeremy Beach early in the second quarter, adding a 19-yard Josh McDade TD run en route to a 13-0 halftime lead. They added second-half touchdown runs from Josiah Chambers and Ross Hamrick to cinch Lamar Countyâs first shutout since thumping Crawford County 43-0 late in 2023.
Putnam County 48, Utopian Academy 0
Class A/Division II
GMC Prep 36, Glascock County 18
The Bulldogs are 2-0 in region play for the first time since 2021, avenging last yearâs 50-14 loss.
Wilkinson County 56, Hancock Central 28
The Warriors cracked 50 points for the second straight week. Hancock Central gave up 50 for the first time since Warren Countyâs 50-8 win in 2019.
Wilcox County 28, Hawkinsville 23
A 21-9 second quarter put Wilcox County in control. The teams scored 7 each in the third and Hawkinsville rallied with a score early in the fourth quarter, but couldnât convert a fumble recovery and other possessions, throwing a late interception and then losing a fumble.

FPD 21, Stratford 10 (Click here for a full story)
Brady McHugh and Major Simmons each ran for more than 100 yards as FPD led from the start to gut out a win over longtime rival Stratford. Tyler Stephen ran for 153 yards, more than half coming on an 81-yard TD run that came a few snaps after Simmons went 70 yards. FPD survived some unsuccessful fourth downs, Stratford failing to convert on defensive stand and a few turnovers.
George Walton 27, Piedmont 0
Mount de Sales 10, Tattnall 0
The Cavs sent Tattnall a step closer to an 0-10 season with their first shutout over the Trojans since a 29-0 win to open the 1981 season. Mount de Sales recorded its first shutout since 35-0 over Twiggs County in 2018. Marcus Wilson went in from the 5 with about four minutes left in the first quarter, and then Landon Frawley added a 40-yard field goal four minutes into the second quarter.
Westfield 21, Strong Rock 14
Strong Rock tied it at 14 midway through the fourth quarter, and Westfield got the game-winner on Brock Johnsonâs short TD run with less than a minute left. The Hornets took over on their 41 with 1:06 left. Win Hoots caught Brock Johnsonâs pass to get inside the 15 on the first play. Johnson ran it to the 4, spiked it with 34 seconds left, and then went left for the score with 28 seconds left.
Class AA
Brentwood 35, Edmund Burke 7
The War Eagles took awhile to get going, not getting a score until the final two minutes of the first quarter, on Baylor Cobbâs 9-yard score. He passed to Abe Williams for another score midway through the second quarter to get Brentwood going. Cobb connected with Zyion Andrews late in the second for a 21-0 halftime lead.
Gatewood 35, Thomas Jefferson 18
The Gators put up 21 points in the second quarter for a 21-12 halftime lead.
Terrell 35, Windsor 14
Terrell took a 14-0 halftime lead, and won the third quarter 14-12.
8-man
Citizenâs Christian 35, Covenant 0
