A season of moving and shaking continues, in both divisions.
It’s a rare week when the County of Houston has only two of the five teams in Division I. And it might be awhile before a third team joins or rejoins the poll.
West Laurens is solidly in the top five, and doesn’t appear to be going anywhere for awhile.
Upson-Lee and Mary Persons are on the fringe, as is Warner Robins.
There may actually be a gap in Division II after No. 1. Northeast’s 20-0 win over Dublin was quite the statement, as was John Milledge’s 51-13 thumping of Stratford.
Nos. 3-6 are about even, for a week or two. And if Bleckley County’s pass coverage gets going against Northeast this week … But in a rarity, there aren’t many Division II teams on the fringe, with not many teams above .500.
This week’s schedule has tough games for a chunk of teams, so the moving and shuffling will continue.
Division I (5A, 4A, 3A) 12 teams
