Did Northeast disclose any kind of blueprint for stifling Dublin’s offense? Well, yeah, but ACE doesn’t have nearly the size and athleticism of Northeast’s defense. Can the Gryphons make up for that with similar discipline and fundamentals?

No. 4 Northeast, 5-1/5-0, at No. 12 Bleckley County, 5-1/4-1
Expect a game that leaves every person on hand exhausted when it’s done. Expect back and forth, maybe a lot of yards that don’t necessarily translate into points. Northeast needs a stronger run game, Bleckley County needs to get to QB Jordan Wiggins, who has a pocket presence and calm befitting a veteran.

It’s a battle for an edge for second and a first-round home playoff game in 4-A/Division II. Wilcox County is a game better at this point than a year ago, but Hawkinsville is a little hungry this week.

Tackling wins. FPD has a few more overall threats, Stratford has one of the fastest backs around. The Vikings got some breaks with weak tackling last week by Mount de Sales, and the Eagles were afflicted with that, among other things, against John Milledge. Stratford needs a confident passing game, and neither offense can force something. But who tackles the best wins.
